Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a senior QA/Automation Engineer in India to lead backend testing and automation using Robot Framework. You will work with Linux/Unix, Java or Python, and modern stacks including Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.

Knowledge of databases, Kafka, and monitoring dashboards is essential. Hyderabad or Chennai-based with on-site work. Candidate should have 6+ years of hands-on testing experience, strong scripting skills, and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Maven, Git,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in relevant technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience in software testing of backend applications and test automation using Robot Framework.
• Working experience in Linux/Unix, shell scripting.
• Experience in end-to-end test automation using Robot Framework.
• Hands on experience in performance testing using industry standard tools for backend applications.
• Hands on experience in programming languages like Java or Python.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
• Experience in Databases (SQL/NoSQL) like Cassandra, Postgres, MySQL and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and deployment.
• Knowledge of real-time data streaming and messaging solutions like Kafka.
• Experience with tools like Maven, GIT, Jenkins, JFrog.
• Knowledgeable of key networking technologies such as 5G Core, RAN, Transport, IP Routing, Ethernet, and Access Wireline Networks.
• Data collection approaches through adoption of industry standard methods and open-source capabilities and dashboards through Grafana.
• Experience with the TICK stack: Telegraf, InfluxDB, Chronograf and Kapacitor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct backend test automation and validation.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Collaborate with development teams to drive quality in CI/CD.
• Implement performance tests for backend services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks.
• Work with databases and data stores for validation.
• Support deployment and monitoring of microservices in containerized environments.
• Leverage Grafana for data visualization and monitoring.
• Explore TICK stack enhancements when applicable.
