Job summary

ICF International in New Delhi is seeking a skilled engineer to design, configure, and test Remote Monitoring System and SCADA components for renewable energy assets. This fixed-term role involves client-site deployment and field travel as required.

You will integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms, monitor data quality and latency, and coordinate with utility partners and vendors to ensure secure, reliable operation across the RMS/SCADA stack.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or diploma in Electrical/ Electronics & Communications or CS.
• Minimum 5 years of RMS, IoT or remote-monitoring integration experience.
• Experience with Solar PV and DISCOM/utility projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating IoT devices through RMS with centralized cloud platforms for data logging and remote troubleshooting.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, integrate and test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor real-time data availability, device connectivity, latency, alarms and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS vendors, meter vendors and SEDM teams.
• Diagnose and resolve device, protocol, gateway, and data-integration issues.
• Support system O&M, software upgrades, configuration management and performance optimization.
• Maintain integration documentation, device registers, issue logs and system-performance reports.
• Support secure access and coordination with IT/cybersecurity teams.

The role connects field IoT devices and gateways with centralized platforms, State Solar Energy Data Management systems and national portals, while monitoring data availability, communications and system performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in integrating IoT devices through RMS with centralized cloud platforms for data logging, remote troubleshooting and real-time control where approved.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, integrate and test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor real-time data availability, device connectivity, communication latency, alarms, events and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS/SCADA vendors, meter vendors, communication-service providers and SEDM teams.
• Diagnose and resolve device, protocol, gateway, communication, server and data-integration issues.
• Support interface testing, validation, issue tracking and closure during deployment and upgrades.
• Support system O&M, software upgrades, configuration management and performance optimization.
• Maintain integration documentation, device registers, issue logs and system-performance reports.
• Support secure access, data integrity and coordination with designated IT and cybersecurity teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

• B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/IT or an equivalent discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in RMS, IoT or remote-monitoring integration, preferably including Solar PV and DISCOM or utility projects.

• Work closely with Client, internal PMU colleagues and relevant state, utility, financial, vendor or technology stakeholders.
• Maintain role-specific work plans, action trackers, deliverable calendars and supporting records.
• Produce clear, accurate and decision-ready outputs within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Handle programme, beneficiary, financial, portal and stakeholder information confidentially and follow approved access and information-security requirements.
• Undertake field travel and support urgent programme reviews when required by the assignment.
