Job summary

ICF is deploying a Remote Monitoring System and SCADA integration for a 3-year renewable energy project in New Delhi. The role connects field IoT devices with centralized platforms, ensuring data availability, latency and system performance, with client-site deployment and field travel as required.

Ideally, 5+ years in RMS/IoT integration, knowledge of solar PV and utility environments, and strong collaboration with stakeholders will drive successful deployment and ongoing O&M support.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, CS/IT.
• Minimum 5 years of RMS, IoT or remote-monitoring integration experience.
• Experience with Solar PV, DISCOMs or utility projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating IoT devices with RMS and cloud platforms for data logging and real-time control.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor data availability, device connectivity, and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS/SCADA vendors and SEDM teams.
• Diagnose and resolve device, gateway, and network issues.
• Support interface testing, validation, and issue closure during deployment and upgrades.
• Maintain integration documentation and system performance reports.
• Support secure access and coordination with IT and cybersecurity teams.

POSITION SUMMARY

Design, configure, integrate, test and support Remote Monitoring System and SCADA solutions for renewable energy scheme assets. The role connects field IoT devices and gateways with centralized platforms, State Solar Energy Data Management systems and national portals, while monitoring data availability, communications and system performance. Assignment Programme Management Unit Deployment Fixed Term( 3 years), client-site deployment with field travel as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in integrating IoT devices through RMS with centralized cloud platforms for data logging, remote troubleshooting and real-time control where approved.
• Facilitate integration of RMS with State Solar Energy Data Management platforms and national portals.
• Design, configure, integrate and test RMS/SCADA components and interfaces.
• Monitor real-time data availability, device connectivity, communication latency, alarms, events and data quality.
• Coordinate with DISCOMs/SIAs, EPC contractors, RMS/SCADA vendors, meter vendors, communication-service providers and SEDM teams.
• Diagnose and resolve device, protocol, gateway, communication, server and data-integration issues.
• Support interface testing, validation, issue tracking and closure during deployment and upgrades.
• Support system O&M, software upgrades, configuration management and performance optimization.
• Maintain integration documentation, device registers, issue logs and system-performance reports.
• Support secure access, data integrity and coordination with designated IT and cybersecurity teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/IT or an equivalent discipline.

Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in RMS, IoT or remote-monitoring integration, preferably including Solar PV and DISCOM or utility projects.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS

Work closely with Client, internal PMU colleagues and relevant state, utility, financial, vendor or technology stakeholders. Maintain role-specific work plans, action trackers, deliverable calendars and supporting records. Produce clear, accurate and decision-ready outputs within agreed timelines and quality standards. Handle programme, beneficiary, financial, portal and stakeholder information confidentially and follow approved access and information-security requirements. Undertake field travel and support urgent programme reviews when required by the assignment.
