Job summary

Topgear Consultants in Mumbai is seeking an Executive / Sr. Officer RM Purchase for Lower Parel location. 3-5 years of experience in chemical procurement is required. You will manage solvents and monomers, handle local and import purchases, and drive vendor development along with negotiations.

You will coordinate with suppliers, plants, QA and technical teams to ensure quality and timely deliveries, while maintaining SAP MM records and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Procuring chemicals and raw materials including solvents and monomers.
• Managing local and import purchases of pigments, additives, driers and other materials.
• Developing vendors, negotiating terms and managing supplier performance.
• Issuing RFQs, evaluating quotes and selecting vendors.
• Creating Purchase Orders and maintaining records in SAP MM.
• Ensuring timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels.
• Coordinating with suppliers, plants, QA and technical teams for issue resolution.
• Handling import documentation and CHA clearance processes.
• Preparing MIS reports, cost sheets and cost comparisons.

Responsibilities

• Procure solvents and monomers with focus on cost and quality.
• Oversee local/import purchases of chemical raw materials.
• Coordinate vendor setup, MOQs and lead times with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, compare quotations and finalize suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement of Solvents & Monomers mandatory experience.
• Local and import purchase of chemical raw materials such as pigments, additives, driers, extenders, biocides, zinc, etc.
• Vendor development, negotiation and supplier management.
• Float RFQs, compare quotations and finalize vendors.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain records in SAP.
• Ensure timely delivery and optimum inventory levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers, plants, QA and technical teams for quality/rejection issues.
• Handle import documentation and coordinate with CHA for clearance.
• Prepare MIS reports, cost sheets and comparative statements.
• Support cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
