Job summary

Utkarsh Placement is seeking a Manager Purchase (Raw Material Imports) for the chemical industry at Mulund (West). This role leads international procurement of chemical raw materials to support plant operations.

The candidate will drive sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with plant, finance and regulatory teams. MBA preferred; 8-12 years of procurement experience in chemicals is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 812 years of experience in procurement of chemical raw materials with significant exposure to imports.
• Strong expertise in import procedures, logistics coordination, and plant supply planning.
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, DGFT/BIS regulations, and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Reports to: Procurement Head

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Days : Monday to Friday (1st/3rd/5th Saturday ,Work from Home.)

Time : 09:00-05:30 PM (2nd & 4th Saturday - not working)

He / She will be responsible to lead international procurement of chemical raw materials. This role will be responsible for driving sourcing strategies, optimizing procurement costs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining uninterrupted supply to support plant operations. The position requires strong leadership in vendor management, import logistics, and cross-functional coordination with plant, finance, and regulatory teams.
