Job description

New Delhi: RITES Limited has issued vacancy circulars dated 28 April 2026 inviting applications for deputation and immediate absorption for the positions of Senior Manager, Manager, and Assistant Manager in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. The positions are intended for deployment in various international projects, including assignments in Africa, and are open to eligible officials from Indian Railways, Public Undertakings, and related organizations at the JE, SSE, Group-B, and Junior Scale levels.

The recruitment is being undertaken to strengthen RITES’ technical manpower for project execution in India and abroad. Selected candidates may be posted at project sites within the country or overseas, depending on organizational requirements. The tenure of deputation is generally three years, extendable based on performance and project needs.

Applicants must possess a full-time degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, along with relevant experience in maintenance of diesel‑electric locomotives or similar technical domains. A minimum experience of 10 years is required for eligibility. The upper age limit is 55 years for immediate absorption and 57 years for deputation as on the closing date of application submission.

The selection process will be based on a structured evaluation system comprising educational qualifications, vigilance record, service performance, work experience, and overall suitability. For deputation cases, candidates must secure at least 60% marks, while for immediate absorption, a minimum of 75% is required to qualify for consideration in the merit list.

Applications must be submitted online through the RITES career portal and forwarded through the respective administrative authorities along with vigilance clearance, APAR records of the last five years, and No Objection Certificate. The last date for receipt of applications is 45 days from the date of issuance of the circular. Advance copies may be sent to the designated RITES HR email addresses for record purposes.

The Ministry of Railways has also confirmed continued exemption from the rule of immediate absorption, enabling deputation arrangements for a further period beyond August 2023, in accordance with the applicable government approvals.
