Job summary

Applications are invited for the positions of Senior Manager and Manager (Mechanical) and Senior Manager and Manager (Electrical) on a deputation basis.

First Vacancy – Mechanical Post

Common Location and Tenure for Both Posts
The place of posting is Gurugram. However, the selected official can be posted anywhere in the country or abroad as per requirement. The normal tenure of deputation is three years, which may be extended depending upon requirement and performance.

Eligibility Criteria

For Mechanical Post

Experience: SSE (Diesel Mechanical) with minimum ten years of experience in maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways or Railway PSUs.

Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 57 years as of the last date of submission of application.

For Electrical Post

Experience: SSE (Diesel Electrical) with minimum ten years of experience in maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways or Railway PSUs.

Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Age Limit: Candidate should not be more than 57 years as of the last date of submission of application.

Pay Scale and Allowances

The pay structure is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Officers working in Junior Scale or Group-B and above (Level 8 to 10) will be designated as Senior Manager.

SSEs working in Level 8 (MACP) of 7th CPC, which is Grade Pay 4800, will be designated as Senior Manager.

SSEs working in Level 7 of 7th CPC will be designated as Manager.

As per Railway Board guidelines, the employee is entitled to parent pay plus deputation allowance, foreign allowance if applicable, and other perks as admissible on deputation.

Important Note on Permanent Absorption Rule
The Ministry of Railways has granted an exemption from the immediate absorption rule for RITES. This exemption is valid for a period of three years beyond August 31, 2023, as per ministry letters dated August 2, 2024, and December 20, 2024.

Accommodation

RITES will provide company-leased accommodation as per entitlement to the officer who joins RITES on deputation.
