Job summary

JOB TITLE: RHEL Systems Administrator (L2)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced RHEL L2 Systems Administrator with 4 to 5 years ofhands-on experience engineering, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise Red HatEnterprise Linux environments. In this role, you will act as a critical escalation point for complex technical infrastructure issues, lead system maintenance projects, and driveroot cause analysis (RCA) for critical outages. This position requires working in a 24/7 production support model, including rotational shifts, nights, weekends, and on-callcoverage to guarantee maximum uptime for our global business-critical infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations & 24/7 Production Support

• Deliver comprehensive 24/7/365 production support, actively participating in arotating shift schedule to maintain continuous infrastructure availability.
• Provide rapid-response on-call support during critical severity-1 (Sev-1) and severity-2 (Sev-2) infrastructure events, managing incidents effectively under high-pressure conditions.
• Coordinate cross-functional handovers between shift teams to ensure unresolved technical issues, ongoing outages, and urgent maintenance tasks are seamlessly transferred without coverage gaps.

Advanced Technical Troubleshooting & RCA

• Resolve complex technical escalations from junior support tiers, troubleshooting severe OS hangs, kernel panics, and critical performance bottlenecks.
• Lead comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations following critical infrastructure incidents and implement permanent preventative fixes.
• Diagnose deep-seated network and system bottlenecks using advanced performance diagnostic tools (such as tcpdump, strace, lsof, sar, and perf).

Enterprise Storage & File System ManagementClassification: Internal

• Design and manage complex Logical Volume Management (LVM) structures, including volume group extensions, thin provisioning, and logical volume striping/mirroring.
• Configure and maintain enterprise file systems (XFS, EXT4) along with network-attached and shared storage protocols including NFS, iSCSI, and SAN/Fibre Channel.
• Troubleshoot complex file system corruption and mount failures, utilizing disk repair utilities (fsck, xfs_repair) to safely recover critical enterprise data.

Configuration Management, Patching & Automation

• Maintain and provision systems at scale utilizing Red Hat Satellite server for patch management, errata deployment, and lifecycle environment tracking.
• Develop and optimize production-ready automation workflows using Ansible playbooks and advanced Bash scripts to standardize server builds, deployments, andconfiguration enforcement.
• Own and coordinate scheduled OS patching cycles, executing updates primarilyduring designated off-peak maintenance windows to ensure minimized downtime across production environments.
• Hardening, patching, & tool Like Manage engine operational expertise for windows OS and hands-on Needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of dedicated experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, with a verified track record of engineering and supporting enterprise RHEL environments.
• Availability: Absolute flexibility and willingness to work 24/7 rotational shifts,weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) is required; Red HatCertified Engineer (RHCE) designation is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in RHEL 7/8/9 architecture, advanced LVM, SELinuxdebugging, Ansible automation, and enterprise networking protocols.
