Job Overview-
We are seeking a highly skilled RF Designer to lead the design and development of RF front-end architectures for Low Band and High Band frequencies, including multiband GNSS. The role requires expertise in RF circuit and antenna design, system integration, performance optimization, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
RF Design & Development-
Architect and develop RF front-end systems for multiband GNSS receivers.
Ensure optimal sensitivity, performance, and interference mitigation.
RF Circuit Design-
Design and simulate RF circuits (amplifiers, filters, mixers, synthesizers).
Apply RF fundamentals: impedance matching, noise figure, gain, linearity.
Use tools such as ADS, CST, HFSS, and MATLAB.
Antenna Design-
Apply antenna design principles for FRPA and CRPA antennas.
Perform antenna simulations and optimize for RF/GNSS applications.
System Integration-
Integrate RF components including GNSS receiver systems.
Implement filtering and shielding strategies to minimize cross- band interference.
Component Selection & Collaboration-
Select and evaluate RF components for compatibility and performance.
Prepare detailed specifications for RFIC, RTL, and firmware teams.
Collaborate with platform architecture, PHY, and CoEx teams.
Validation & Debugging-
Support lab validation using spectrum/network analyzers.
Conduct post-silicon validation and debug with advanced tools (pico probes, LASER voltage probes, electron beam probes).
Define test plans, tune performance, and resolve issues.
Performance optimization-
Optimize gain, noise figure and linearity to meet system requirements
Simulation & Analysis-
Perform MATAL-based simulation and impairment analysis (SysCalc).
Conduct level planning and static analysis for real-world scenarios.
Troubleshooting-
Diagnose and resolve RF design issues to improve reliability.
Collaboration & Soft Skills-
Work closely with baseband, antenna, and system integration teams.
Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and learning aptitude.
Lead teams working on multiband GNSS receiver architecture and SoC integration.
Compliance & Standards-
Ensure designs meet FCC, CE, ITAR, MIL STD, RTCA, and EMC/EMI compliance requirements.
Project Management & Documentation-
Manage projects and maintain documentation in line with ISO9001/AS9100D standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
BTech (Electronics/ Telecommunication)
Preferred M Tech in RF Engineering through National Institute
Technical Expertise:
RF circuit design, antenna design, GNSS systems (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, NavIC, SBAS, DGPS).
Proficiency in RF design tools (ADS, CST, HFSS, MATLAB).
Programming skills (C, C++, Python).
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration.
Strong problem-solving and independent working ability.
Adaptability to evolving project requirements.
Continuous learning aptitude.
Compliance Knowledge:
Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry certifications like Environment, Hazardous disposal etc.
