Job summary

Coreel in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Design Engineer – RF Design to lead RF hardware and subsystem development for advanced communications systems. You will plan frequencies, design RF circuits, document designs, and collaborate with digital, software, and mechanical teams.

The role requires 3–6 years of hands-on RF experience, proficiency with OrCAD, ADS/AWR/HFSS, and RF test techniques. You will work on radar-related projects and prove strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of RF hardware and system design.
• Experience with PLL, LNA, Mixer, PA, filters, couplers, and switches.
• Knowledge of RF measurement: harmonics, IP3, noise figure, gain, P1dB, VSWR.
• Schematic design using OrCAD Capture; PCB layout coordination.
• Experience with RF design tools ADS, AWR, HFSS.
• RADAR subsystem or system design exposure preferred.
• Hands-on RF lab equipment like oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meter, signal generator.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequency planning and power budget analysis.
• Design and document RF subsystem architectures and circuits.
• Prepare design reviews, test procedures, ATP, and QTP.
• Collaborate with Digital Hardware, FPGA, Software, and Mechanical teams.
• Participate in testing, integration, and qualification of RF systems.
• Support product validation and performance optimization.

Job Description

1. Good understanding of RF hardware and system design.


2. Understanding of RF component characteristics and validation, including PLL, LNA, Mixer, PA, Filters, Couplers, and Switches.


3. Understanding of power management components such as LDOs and Buck Converters.


4. Schematic creation using OrCAD Capture.


5. Support PCB layout and routing activities for RF designs in coordination with PCB teams.


6. Knowledge of RF measurement techniques such as Harmonics, IP3, Noise Figure, Gain, P1dB, and VSWR.


7. Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment including Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), Power Meter, and Signal Generator.


8. Experience with RF design and simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, and HFSS.


9. Exposure to RADAR subsystem or system design is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Perform frequency planning, power budget analysis, and ensure compliance with system specifications and requirements.


2. Design, develop, and document RF subsystem architectures and circuits.


3. Prepare project documentation including design documents, review documents, test procedures, ATP, and QTP.


4. Collaborate with Digital Hardware, FPGA, Software, and Mechanical Engineering teams during product development.


5. Participate in testing, integration, troubleshooting, and qualification of RF systems and subsystems.


6. Support product validation and performance optimization activities.
