Job summary

Manushhya Hr Services invites a seasoned sales leader to spearhead growth across South India’s high-volume retail and distribution network. The candidate will drive forecasting, channel expansion, and large-scale promotions while building strong dealer relationships.

You will lead a team of Area Sales Managers and Territory Executives, mentor talent, ensure collections and revenue targets, and translate market insights into strategic actions for sustained market share gains.

Qualifications

  • Education: MBA in Sales & Marketing with strong domain understanding.
  • Experience: 12–20 years in high-volume Retail Sales and Channel Distribution.
  • Industry: Building Materials or allied retail sectors (adhesives, paints, tools, etc.).
  • Geography: Managed large-scale retail across multiple South Indian states.
  • Capabilities: high-volume secondary sales, leadership, market penetration, relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver sales targets across the entire South India zone.
  • Develop annual and quarterly sales forecasts, aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive strategic demand planning and ensure consistent achievement of primary and secondary sales.
  • Identify and convert high-potential markets, retailers, and distributors across South India.
  • Lead initiatives to penetrate untapped geographies and expand market share.
  • Design and execute large-scale promotional campaigns and secondary schemes to maximize reach.
  • Ensure strong brand presence and visibility across key retail and distribution points.
  • Oversee execution of regional marketing activities, including kiosks, roadshows, and retailer engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor campaigns for regional consumer preferences.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key dealers, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Provide advanced training and capability-building programs for dealer sales teams.
  • Resolve escalated complaints with speed and accuracy, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Continuously monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Map market potential and identify emerging opportunities across diverse product categories.
  • Ensure timely collections in line with company credit policies.
  • Maintain healthy receivables and minimize outstanding risks across the zone.
  • Drive financial accountability among regional teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers and Territory Executives.
  • Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Identify and groom high-potential talent for future leadership roles.
  • Present comprehensive monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to senior management.
  • Track and analyze secondary sales data through CRM.
  • Recommend corrective actions and growth strategies based on performance metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Retail Network Mastery: Proven expertise in driving the "numbers game" by scaling, managing, and dominating a massive network of retail counters, dealers, and sub-dealers.
  • Industry Background: Extensive experience in Building Materials or allied retail sectors (e.g., Adhesives, Paints, Wall Putty, Construction Chemicals, Laminates, Hardware, Architectural, Hand, or Power Tools).
  • Geographical Exposure: Must have independently handled large-scale retail operations across at least two or more states in South India.
  • Key Capabilities: High-volume secondary sales driving, strong team leadership, deep market penetration, and excellent relationship management with retail partners.
