Job summary

Egis in India seeks a detail-oriented Resident Engineer- Civil to supervise and manage railway construction projects on-site in Kharagpur, India. The candidate will ensure quality, coordinate activities, and maintain rigorous documentation to meet timelines and contract requirements.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant railway project experience, a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and demonstrated leadership as Expert/RE/TL on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Total 10+ years of experience with minimum 4 projects in capacity of Expert/RE/TL on Railway projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
• Analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project progress.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and technical submittals.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with the project management team to facilitate efficient decision-making and problem-solving.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.
