Job summary

Egis Road Operation India in Bengaluru, India is seeking a detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician specializing in transportation to join our team. You will create precise drawings and CAD models for road and highway projects, working closely with civil engineers and project managers to produce documentation that meets standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of civil CAD experience, strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D or MicroStation, and a solid understanding of road design and traffic

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings and designs for transportation infrastructure projects, including road layouts, traffic management systems, and highway designs.
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to create accurate technical documentation.
• Utilize CAD software to model transportation systems and infrastructure components with precision.
• Analyze project data and design parameters to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with civil engineers and project stakeholders to incorporate design modifications into CAD models.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring drawings are labeled and archived.
• Review and verify CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Assist in preparing project presentations and technical reports with CAD visualizations.
• Stay current with industry best practices and software updates.
• Troubleshoot CAD software issues and coordinate with IT.

About The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Civil CAD Technician specializing in Transportation to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, designs, and models for transportation infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively with civil engineers and project managers to develop comprehensive CAD documentation that meets industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Develop and prepare detailed CAD drawings and designs for transportation infrastructure projects, including road layouts, traffic management systems, and highway designs
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and project requirements to create accurate technical documentation
• Utilize CAD software to model transportation systems and infrastructure components with precision and efficiency
• Analyze project data and design parameters to ensure compliance with transportation engineering standards and regulations
• Coordinate with civil engineers and project stakeholders to incorporate design modifications and updates into CAD models
• Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring all drawings are properly labeled, versioned, and archived
• Review and verify CAD drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards before submission
• Assist in preparing project presentations and technical reports that incorporate CAD visualizations and design data
• Stay current with industry best practices, software updates, and transportation design methodologies
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to CAD software and coordinate with IT support when necessary
  

What do we need from you

• Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
• 2-5 years of professional experience in civil CAD design or transportation engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of transportation infrastructure design principles and traffic engineering standards
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications
• Solid understanding of road design, highway layouts, and traffic management systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in reading and applying design standards and project specifications
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Familiarity with transportation design software and modeling tools (preferred)
• Knowledge of infrastructure planning and civil engineering principles (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes
