Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to lead functional testing across automotive infotainment projects. You will gather requirements, analyze test needs, and review specifications to ensure quality.

You will perform test execution in simulation environments, generate reports and perform causal analysis, and coordinate with offshore teams for development support.

Qualifications

• Software testing in embedded systems, preferably automotive infotainment.
• Experience with SW test methodologies and test design techniques.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS protocols.
• Scripting experience preferred (CAPL, Python).
• Experience with test environments and debugging.
• Familiar with SW development processes.
• ISTQB Foundation level (optional).
• Hands-on with target hardware and production flashing.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing and requirements gathering & analysis.
• Preparation of test specifications and review.
• Test execution and debugging in simulation test environment.
• Providing all necessary test reports and causal analysis.
• Coordinate with off-shore team for development support.
• Residential testing and fleet testing for each engineering drop.
• Software flashing at Production plant.
• Ensure ESD compliance while using targets and safe handling of equipment.

Job Description

Functional testingRequirements Gathering & AnalysisPreparation of Test Specifications and review.

Test execution and debugging in Simulation test environment.

Providing all necessary test reportsCausal analysis and Preventive actions - Technical issues.

Awareness of SW development process for Embedded system lifecycles.Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages.

Ensure electrostatic discharge compliance while using targets.

Ensure careful and safe handling of targets / project equipment.

Hands on experience in setting up and working with Target hardware.

1. Software Testing experience in embedded systems (preferably in Automotive infotainment)
