Job summary

Asian Paints is seeking a scientific professional to conduct literature surveys and plan experiments for new product development within the Indian chemical labs. The role involves processing and testing samples, validating products at multiple sites, and evaluating materials for formulations.

Responsibilities include maintaining detailed lab records, analyzing data, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings at review meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature survey and experimental planning for new product development
• Process batches and test experimental designs per the defined test protocol
• Carry out application/product validation trials at sites across India
• Test and analyze benchmark samples
• Evaluate alternate raw materials for existing formulations
• Support plant in standardization of products at PEL/OPC
• Maintain updated records of experiments in lab notebook and Optiva
• Data tabulation and interpretation; prepare technical reports and present at review meetings
• Handle and resolve customer complaints

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Conducting literature survey and experimental planning for new product development
2. Processing of batches and testing of the experimental designs as per the test protocol defined
3. Conducting application/ product validation trials at sites which can be located at different locations across India
4. Testing and analysis of benchmark samples
5. Evaluation of alternate RMs in the existing product formulation for suitability
6. Support to plant w.r.t. standardization of the product at PEL/ OPC
7. Maintaining appropriate and updated records of experiments in lab notebook & Optiva
8. Data tabulation and interpretation, technical report preparation and presentation at the review meetings
9. Customer complaint handling and resolution
