Candidates should have a BE/BTech/Diploma in mechanical, automobile or production engineering with extensive automotive development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5 is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Complete product development cycle from concept to production.
• Design and development of automotive plastic, injection moulded, sheet metal, metallic and fabricated parts.
• Use CATIA V5 for 3D modelling, surface design, assembly and 2D drawings.
• Coordinate with OEMs, tool makers, suppliers for development.
• Support first part approval, production trials and launch.

Product Development / R&D Engineer
Qualification & Experience

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 58 years in Automotive Product Development / R&D / Auto Ancillary industry.
• Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5 is mandatory.
• Experience in plastic injection, sheet metal, metallic parts and fabrication will be preferred.
• Experience in handling OEM projects, prototype development and production launch will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
We require a complete Product Development / R&D Engineer who can independently handle the complete product development cycle from concept to production.

• Product design and development of automotive plastic, injection moulded, sheet metal, metallic and fabricated parts.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of CATIA V5 for 3D modelling, surface design, assembly and 2D drawings.
• Prepare and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances and tolerance stack-up.
• Perform design feasibility, DFM/DFA and tooling feasibility.
• Coordinate with tool makers for mould, die, fixture and tooling development.
• Handle prototype development, sampling, inspection and vehicle fitment/trials.
• Identify design issues during prototype and vehicle trials and implement necessary design corrections.
• Manage APQP/NPD documentation, including DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP and other project-related documents.
• Coordinate with OEM, Quality, Production, Tool Room and Suppliers for project development.
• Support first part approval, production trials and production launch.
• Conduct product/design reviews and ensure product meets customer, quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Conduct R&D/Product audits and maintain proper design and project records.
• Take complete ownership of the product from Customer Requirement Design Prototype Validation Tool Development Production Launch.
