Job summary

ACE Engineering College in India is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage Tally-based financial recording, payroll processing and statutory compliance. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, accuracy, and ability to work with finance teams at an engineering college context.

You will handle receivables/payables, reconciliations, monthly reporting, and balance sheet processes while ensuring confidentiality and timely closures in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliances.
• CA with experience in Accounting, Tally & GST; experience in an Engineering college is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record all transactions in Tally accurately.
• Update Accounts Receivables & Payables and perform reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash, vendors and vendor bills accounting.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Process Employee Payroll & Reimbursements.
• Assist in balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements as per guidelines.
• Update financial data and records to maintain accuracy.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports.
• Assist with bank work and other legal filings.

Role & responsibilities

• You will be responsible to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in Tally


• You will be responsible for updating Accounts Receivables & Payables and performing reconciliations


• You will be responsible for managing petty cash, vendors, and vendor bills accounting


• Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements


• Processing Employee Payroll & Reimbursements


• Assisting in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines


• You will be responsible for updating financial data and records to ensure all information is accurate


• Preparing and submitting monthly reports


• Assisting with any other accounting tasks such as In-Person bank work and other legal filings.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial procedures, and statutory compliances.


• Excellent working knowledge of Tally ERP, MS Office, and Google Workspace.


• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory payments, return filing, and other applicable compliances.


• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Education & Qualification:
