Job summary

Omnicom, a leading advertising services company, is seeking an experienced Finance Executive to perform period-end closing, reporting, and statutory accounting across multiple agencies. You will oversee associates, review accounts, and prepare closing documentation while ensuring compliance with local statutory guidelines, SOX, and GAAP.

The role requires 4–6 years in a similar finance function, CA or equivalent qualification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Graduation in accounting or related field
• CA or similar accounting qualification
• 4–6 years of experience in a similar role
• Advertising industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of period-end close, reporting, and statutory reporting
• Fluent English communication skills
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion; Blackline a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and document imaging tools

Responsibilities

• Assist in period end close and OMC required reports
• Review and reconcile accounts
• Review and prepare closing check lists
• Prepare lead sheets mapping GL to Hyperion balances
• Maintain monthly closing binder
• Ensure compliance with local statutory guidelines, SOX, and GAAP
• Coordinate site audits and assist internal/external audits
• Prepare audit templates and resolve audit issues
• Address Finance queries within defined timelines
• Assist client and external audit processes when necessary

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Executive is responsible for performing activities related to Period end closing & reporting and Statutory accounting and overseeing transactions performed by Associates, which services a number of advertising agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in period end close and OMC required reports.
• Review and reconcile accounts.
• Review and Prepare Closing check list.
• Prepare Lead sheets (summary of GL balance mapped to Hyperion balance)
• Prepare and maintain monthly closing binder
• Ensure compliance with local statutory guidelines, SOX, and GAAP
• Facilitate site visits and internal/external audits
• Prepare audit templates
• Resolve external audit issue.
• Resolve Agency Local Finance queries within defined timelines.
• Assist client and external audit process when necessary.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Education Qualification – Graduation.
• 4 – 6 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Advertising industry preferred.
• Chartered Accountant or similar accounting qualification / certification.
• Good knowledge of concepts and procedures related to period-end closing & reporting and Statutory reporting.
• Ability to provide high level of customer service for closing & reporting activities.
• Strong written and oral communications skills in English.
• Strong problem solving, liaising and organizational skills.
• Experience with, and competence in using, integrated ERP Software (SAP would be distinct advantage).
• Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in Hyperion reporting and Blackline or similar Account reconciliation system would be a distinct advantage
• Experience working in a Shared Services Centre focused on Finance & Accounting activities
• Experience in document imaging software like SharePoint.
