Job summary

Omnicom Finance Services in India’s Maharashtra region seeks an experienced finance professional to manage period end closing, reporting, and statutory accounting. The role oversees associate transactions within a shared services setup serving multiple advertising agencies.

The ideal candidate holds a Graduation and CA or equivalent qualification, with 4–6 years of relevant experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, and related ERP tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum Graduation degree; CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 4–6 years in a similar role; experience in advertising industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of period-end closing and statutory reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP and consolidation tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in period end close and prepare required reports.
• Review and reconcile accounts; prepare closing checklists.
• Maintain monthly closing binder and lead sheets mapping GL to Hyperion.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory guidelines, SOX, and GAAP.
• Support audits and respond to finance queries within timelines.
• Coordinate with clients and external auditors as needed.

Position Summary

The Executive is responsible for performing activities related to Period end closing & reporting and

The Executive is responsible for performing activities related to Period end closing & reporting and statutory accounting and overseeing transactions performed by Associates, which services a number of advertising agencies.

Essential Functions

• Assist in period end close and OMC required reports.
• Review and reconcile accounts.
• Review and Prepare Closing check list.
• Prepare Lead sheets (summary of GL balance mapped to Hyperion balance)
• Prepare and maintain monthly closing binder
• Ensure compliance with local statutory guidelines, SOX, and GAAP
• Facilitate site visits and internal/external audits
• Prepare audit templates
• Resolve external audit issue.
• Resolve Agency Local Finance queries within defined timelines.
• Assist client and external audit process when necessary.

Education, Skills And Experience Requirements

• Minimum Education Qualification – Graduation.
• 4 – 6 years of work experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Advertising industry preferred.
• Chartered Accountant or similar accounting qualification / certification.
• Good knowledge of concepts and procedures related to period-end closing & reporting and Statutory reporting.
• Ability to provide high level of customer service for closing & reporting activities.
• Strong written and oral communications skills in English.
• Strong problem solving, liaising and organizational skills.
• Experience with, and competence in using, integrated ERP Software (SAP would be distinct advantage).
• Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience in Hyperion reporting and Blackline or similar Account reconciliation system would be a distinct advantage
• Experience working in a Shared Services Centre focused on Finance & Accounting activities
• Experience in document imaging software like SharePoint.
