Job summary

PeopleStrong in India is seeking a hands-on Casting Yard Engineer to oversee cutting, bending, and tying of reinforcement cages for segments, under the Casting Yard Project Manager. You will coordinate with engineers and internal teams, ensuring timely preparation of BBS from approved drawings.

Additionally, you will optimize scrap and offcuts, maintain safe working conditions, and ensure quality at all stages of fabrication.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction or manufacturing.
• B.Tech/B.E degree in engineering.
• Experience with reinforcement cage fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Casting Yard Project Manager.
• Cutting, bending, and tying of reinforcement cages for segments.
• Interact with engineers’ representatives and internal departments.
• Prepare BBS based on approved drawings.
• Optimize scrap and offcuts.
• Ensure safe working conditions and acts for workers and machinery.
• Maintain quality at all stages.
• Submit steel requisition monthly to the Construction Manager.
• Coordinate between shift engineers.
• Prepare RFI per systems as planned activities.
