Job summary

Jobs Territory in India is seeking a seasoned operations leader to own end-to-end last-mile delivery and supply operations across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. You will oversee City Managers, Fleet Managers, and city teams, driving performance and ensuring reliable rider coverage.

You will shape rider acquisition and activation, monitor KPIs, optimize efficiency and cost, and collaborate with Product, Sales, and Growth to scale the business.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in last-mile, logistics, or hyperlocal delivery.
• Experience leading multi-city operations teams.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs like delivery performance and costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end last-mile delivery and supply ops across Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad.
• Lead and supervise City Managers, Fleet Managers, and city-level teams.
• Drive operational performance, including OPD, rider productivity, and fulfillment.
• Develop rider acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation strategies.
• Ensure rider availability during peak hours and high-demand periods.
• Monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Improve delivery efficiency, fleet utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze dashboards and MIS reports to identify trends and improve decisions.
• Establish performance targets and review mechanisms for city teams.
• Standardize processes and implement best practices across three cities.
• Coordinate with Product, Business, Sales, and Growth to resolve challenges.
• Handle escalations involving delays, rider issues, and customer complaints.
• Develop and mentor City Managers and Fleet Managers to strengthen teams.
• Support new city launches, regional expansion, and partner programmes.
• Introduce innovative strategies to improve service quality and growth.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive operational performance, including orders per day (OPD), active riders, rider productivity, and order fulfillment.
• Develop and implement rider acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation strategies.
• Ensure sufficient rider availability during peak hours and periods of high demand.
• Monitor operational KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
• Improve delivery efficiency, fleet utilization, rider productivity, and operational cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze operational dashboards and MIS reports to identify trends and improve decision-making.
• Establish performance targets and review mechanisms for city teams.
• Standardize operational processes and implement best practices across all three cities.
• Coordinate with Product, Business, Sales, and Growth teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Handle operational escalations involving delivery delays, cancellations, rider issues, customer complaints, and payouts.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 5-8 years of relevant experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, hyperlocal delivery, e-commerce delivery, or similar industries.
2. Strong hands-on experience in last-mile operations, rider supply management, and fleet operations.
3. Candidates with experience managing multiple cities, regions, or large operational clusters will be preferred.
4. Proven experience leading large operational teams, preferably with City Managers or Fleet Managers reporting directly.
5. Strong understanding of rider acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, productivity, and supply planning.
6. Experience managing operational KPIs, order fulfillment, cancellations, delivery performance, and cost optimization.
7. Ability to analyze operational data, dashboards, and MIS reports to drive business decisions.
8. Strong leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and programme management skills.
9. Ability to identify operational gaps, implement scalable solutions, and improve business performance.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.
