Job summary

KENT New Energy is hiring a Regional Manager ESS to drive business growth and market expansion across Maharashtra (Nagpur). You will lead channel development, manage distributors and institutional customers, and steer the sales team to achieve aggressive targets in the expanding ESS sector.

The role requires 8–15 years in sales with 3–5 years in team leadership, and a background in Electrical/Electronics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8 to 15 years of relevant sales experience, including 3 to 5 years in a team-handling role.
• Graduate / MBA preferred; Electrical / Electronics background preferred
• Location: Maharashtra (Nagpur)
• Experience in ESS, solar, or renewable energy domains is desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow the ESS business across Maharashtra (Nagpur) and adjacent markets.
• Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, channel partners, EPCs, and institutional customers.
• Achieve primary, secondary, and tertiary sales targets for ESS products.
• Identify new markets, customers, distributors, and business opportunities.
• Drive business across residential, commercial, and industrial ESS segments.
• Build strong relationships with channel partners and key customers; monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Develop and strengthen distributor/dealer network; ensure product availability and inventory planning at distributor level.
• Coordinate with technical and service teams for channel/customer support; drive branding and promotional activities.
• Lead recruitment, training, and performance reviews of regional sales staff; prepare forecasts and regional plans.

KENT New Energy is hiring an experienced Regional Manager ESS to drive business growth and market expansion across a major location within Maharashtra (Nagpur).

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and grow the ESS business across the assigned state/region.
• Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, channel partners, EPCs, and institutional customers.
• Achieve primary, secondary, and tertiary sales targets.
• Identify new markets, customers, distributors, and business opportunities.
• Drive business across residential, commercial, and industrial ESS segments.
• Build strong and long-term relationships with channel partners and key customers.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and market trends.

Channel Management

• Develop and strengthen the distributor and dealer network.
• Ensure product availability and effective inventory planning at distributor level.
• Drive product visibility, branding, and promotional activities.
• Coordinate dealer meets, roadshows, exhibitions, and channel engagement programs.
• Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy payment discipline.
• Coordinate with technical and service teams for channel/customer support.

Team Management

• Recruit, train, and manage ASMs, FSOs, and other regional sales personnel.
• Define KPIs and sales targets for the team.
• Monitor daily market coverage, lead generation, and target achievement.
• Conduct regular market visits with the sales team.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
• Train the team on ESS products, applications, and market positioning.
• Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and regional business plans.

Product / Industry Exposure

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following industries will be preferred:

• Energy Storage Systems (ESS)

Preferred Skills

• Good understanding of the ESS, solar, lithium battery, and inverter market.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned state.
