Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group in India in Howrah, West Bengal seeks a chemistry graduate with 0–2 years in the chemical industry to understand technical requests, prepare admixture samples, and conduct concrete trials with sales and regional managers. The role involves arranging RM samples, inventories, and coordinating with labs for testing and demonstrations.

The position requires experience in cement/RMC or construction chemical industries and a Degree in Chemistry.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of experience in chemical industry.
• Experience in cement or RMC or construction chemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Understand the technical request sent by the sales people along with regional manager concrete and formulator.
• Preparation of admixture samples as directed by formulator and regional manager concrete.
• Conduct the concrete trials as per the relevant code and as directed by formulator.
• Field RMs to be arranged in coordination with sales team and concrete technologist. If required, competitor sample to be arranged from different job site across respective regions to benchmark the same.
• Sourcing of the potential RM’s or arranging the required RMs from the respective factories and maintain sufficient inventory of RMs.
• Testing of developed product initially at FOSROC lab, after establishing the product techno commercially at lab level and final trials or demonstration either at Job site and or third party lab etc as appropriate.
• Arranging physical, chemical and performance test certificates internally and externally
• Testing of Raw materials
• Any other additional task agreed with the line Manager
