Job summary

Sika in Chennai is seeking a Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager QA/QC to lead testing of concrete admixtures, intermediates, and finished products. You will generate COA, maintain QC records, and analyze data for process improvements. The role requires ensuring proper SAP releases and handling non-conforming materials, while upholding IMS standards.

You will also train QC staff and support audits, with a focus on 5S and lab safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Chemical engineering or BSc/ MSc Chemistry with inorganic/organic focus.
• 5–6 years of manufacturing/quality control experience in construction chemical or chemical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Test and supervise testing of Concrete Trials, Liquid Admixture, RM and PM as per R&D specifications.
• Test Intermediates and Finished products per R&D specs and generate COA for batches.
• Maintain QC records in hard and soft copy per QC requirements; analyze data for process improvements.
• Authorize RM/PM/FG releases in SAP and create non-conforming material notes if needed.
• Ensure IMS compliance, 5S in lab, and train QC staff for safe, precise QC activities.

In 2025, Sika’s around 33,000 employees generated annual sales of CHF 11.20 billion.**Duties and Responsibilities:** Responsible for performing and supervising the testing of Concrete Trials/Liquid Admixture/RM and PM as per the specification provided by R&D.* Responsible for performing and supervising the testing of Intermediates and Finished products as per the specification provided by R & D.* Responsible for generating Certificate of Analysis for all the batches produced.* Ensuring and maintaining the QC records pertaining to testing results in Hard copy as well in soft copy as per QC requirements* Statistical Data analysis and improvement in process with the help of Analyzed data.* Responsible for authorizing and executing the RM/PM/ FG release in SAP.* Responsible for the generation of non-conforming material notes in case of any rejection of RM, PM, Intermediates and F.G.* Responsible for the modification of First Time Failure batches as per R & D guidelines.* Ensuring that the status of nonconforming raw, packing materials, intermediate and finished products are identified with proper label.* Ensuring that the raw materials and packaging material which are being used are supplied by an approved vendor.* Testing and approving new packaging material as per vendor specification with report submission to Procurement.* Ensure continual improvements in the testing procedures of raw material, packing material and finished goods.* Responsible for the calibration of the testing equipment available in his location both external & internal. Ensure all the lab equipment is maintained in good condition.* Handle Customer Complaint and RCA for failure.
