Job summary

The Corporate Institute in India seeks an experienced Commercial Banking professional to lead client acquisition and manage the existing portfolio within the Commercial Banking group. You will engage with top local clients, assess needs, and structure facilities aligned with bank strategy to optimise profitability and sustainability.

• Local market experience in the Corporate Banking sector.
• Experience in leading a team within a banking environment.
• Prior experience in commercial banking operations and clients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new client acquisitions as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing portfolio of Commercial Banking group
• Ability to structure facilities per client’s needs and bank’s strategy, ensuring profitability and sustainability
• Should know leading Commercial Banking clients in the local market
• Undertake credit risk appraisal, prepare appraisal notes, term sheets & financial models, and present to senior management for sanction
• Coordinate with internal teams for approvals, documentation, limits, disbursement, and post-disbursement compliance; ensure end-to-end transaction execution
• Engage senior management relationships of mid-market clients to deepen wallet share and cross-sell CMS, salary accounts, corporate cards, and insurance
• Monitor and maintain credit health of the portfolio and mitigate signs of stress

• Responsible for new client acquisitions as well as maintaining and enhancing the existing portfolio of Commercial Banking group
• Ability to structure the facilities as per the client’s need and bank’s strategy ensuring optimum profitability & sustainability of the business within the regulatory framework.
• Should have knowledge of the local market where he / she knows the leading Commercial Banking Clients
• Undertake credit risk appraisal, prepare appraisal notes, term sheets & financial model and engage with credit team to resolve queries and present the case to relevant senior management forums for sanction.
• Engage & co-ordinate with various internal teams for relevant approvals, documentation, limit setup, disbursement, post-disbursement compliances and monitoring. Ensure end-to-end transaction execution from origination to completion.
• Engage and maintain senior management relationships of mid – Markets clients to deepen wallet share, negotiate pricing & cross-sell other banking products like CMS, salary a/cs, corporate cards and insurance.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining credit health of the portfolio & take appropriate steps to proactively mitigate any sign of stress in the portfolio.
