• Lead the credit underwriting function for the Housing loan portfolio across the assigned region.
• Evaluate credit proposals sourced through the Direct Sourcing Channel, ensuring compliance with credit policies and risk parameters.
• Conduct detailed financial, business, banking, and cash flow analysis to assess borrower creditworthiness.
• Review collateral security, property valuation, legal reports, and technical due diligence for secured lending proposals.
• Work closely with Sales, Legal, Technical, and Operations teams to ensure timely credit decisions and seamless loan processing.
• Drive portfolio quality by monitoring approval standards, early warning signals, and delinquency trends.
• Guide and mentor regional credit teams to improve underwriting quality, productivity, and turnaround time (TAT).
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, audit requirements, and risk governance frameworks.
• Support business growth by balancing prudent credit decisions with customer-centric service delivery.
