About the Role

The Regional Coordinator (RC) plays a dual role: directly supporting specific enterprise sectors and managing government coordination and monitoring across assigned districts. RCs are primarily responsible for driving key enterprise initiatives in their assigned area while providing domain expertise to and collaborating with team members across regions

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Enterprise Mapping & Gap Identification
  • Map existing women and community-led enterprises, specific activities, and potential geographies for business expansion across assigned districts.
  • Identify critical operational gaps (raw material sourcing, product development, packaging, branding, backward/forward market linkages) and deliver actionable business growth solutions.
  • Target baseline: Map and assess 650+ existing individual or collective women-led enterprises to establish robust development plans and operational strategies.
2. Prototype Development & Business Scaling
  • Partner with Field Implementation Agencies (FIAs) to build, test, and document scalable prototype models and business plans.
  • Provide end-to-end support to launch and scale enterprises in new areas using established prototype models.
  • Drive the scaling of individual and collective women-led enterprises across assigned districts.
3. Program Management & Government Convergence
  • Serve as the key link between the State Program Manager, district-level FIA teams, district administrations, and line departments (e.g., State Rural Livelihood Missions).
  • Oversee and support up to 5 field-level partner offices across target districts, ensuring smooth planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Conduct regular field visits to evaluate FIA progress against metrics, reporting best practices, observations, and areas for improvement.
  • Engage regularly with district-level officials to align plans, review progress, and build collaborative partnerships.
4. Module Development & Capacity Building
  • Facilitate the design of specialized training modules to scale widely adopted, proven enterprise models.
  • Coordinate with domain experts, resource agencies, and technical organizations to develop structured training materials.
  • Oversee the rollout of training programs via FIAs for local-level business execution, setup, and ongoing review.
  • Manage quarterly training targets (e.g., executing ~20 training programs annually across 5 target districts).
5. Digital Literacy & Field Facilitation
  • Facilitate digital literacy training modules targeted at field teams, cadres, and local community members/farmers.
  • Conduct block-wise digital literacy sessions (target: ~45 trainings across assigned districts).
  • Drive community awareness around digital tools, e-payments, digital safety/fraud prevention, and linking technology to livelihood skill building.
  • Ensure accurate field data capture and maintain capacity-building databases.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Execution of programmatic course corrections based on empirical study findings.
Success Metrics
  • Enterprise Coverage: Successful mapping and gap analysis of 600+ women-led community enterprises.
  • Execution & Monitoring: Consistent field monitoring, timely reporting, and strong alignment with district-level governance partners.
  • Capacity Building: Delivery of structured training modules, coordination with technical experts, and execution of planned quarterly sessions.
  • Digital Outreach: Execution of digital literacy campaigns reaching target participants in Year 1.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
  • Education: Professional qualification or Post-Graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Rural Management, Business Administration, Social Work, Agribusiness).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a relevant enterprise sector (private sector, personal business ownership, or non-profit/NGO).
  • Sector Background: Hands-on operational experience is strongly valued (e.g., running a poultry business, dal mill, garment manufacturing/stitching center, or agribusiness). Proven design sense or functional expertise in specific product categories is a major advantage.
Functional Competencies
  • Proven experience in developing marketing channels (direct sales, retail, wholesale, online platforms, reselling, or franchising).
  • Demonstrated experience with rural development initiatives, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and SHG federations.
  • Strong practical business skills (business planning, product development, technology integration).
Behavioral Competencies
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, data capture tools) and strong written/spoken English skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with rural communities.
