Job summary

About the role :

The Manager – Program Operation and Execution Support is responsible for the day-to-day operations, coordination, and execution support of our Economic Development programs. Working closely with field teams, cross-functional departments, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) teams, this role ensures smooth and impactful implementation on the ground.

This position requires regular field visits, practical problem-solving, programmatic assessments, and hands-on execution support.

Key Responsibilities
A) Program Operation and Field Execution
  • Manage day-to-day execution of assigned Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Livelihood programs.
  • Conduct regular field visits to understand ground-level challenges and assist field teams in solving them.
  • Follow up on program fulfillment, pending activities, and beneficiary-level issues.
  • Provide on-ground support during major field activities, distributions, and implementation phases.
B) Team Coordination & Follow-Up
  • Coordinate seamlessly across Field, Program, M&E, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical teams.
  • Track yearly, quarterly, and monthly priorities to ensure timely action and closure.
  • Maintain simple action trackers and follow up on pending tasks.
  • Keep leadership regularly updated on progress, gaps, and critical challenges.
C) FPC, SHG & Entrepreneurship Business Support
  • Support the preparation and regular updating of Farmer Producer Company (FPC) business plans.
  • Assist in developing business plans for individual entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
  • Conduct monthly business and performance analyses to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Guide FPCs, SHGs, and local entrepreneurs in business planning, operations, and scaling.
D) Market Study & Vendor Linkage
  • Conduct market assessments to identify commercial and community-level opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage suitable vendors, buyers, and service providers.
  • Connect FPCs, SHGs, and local entrepreneurs with market players to establish sustainable supply chain linkages.
E) MIS, Review & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of program data on organizational software/mobile applications.
  • Prepare monthly progress summaries, trackers, and presentations.
  • Compare targets against achievements, highlight operational gaps, and reconcile reported data with field reality.
F) Supply Chain & Procurement Support
  • Coordinate and track program procurement, distribution, and fulfillment from start to finish.
  • Monitor resource requirements and delivery statuses using field tools and platforms.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve supply delays and beneficiary-level delivery issues.
H) Problem Solving & Field Support
  • Act as a practical, hands‑on support partner for field staff.
  • Identify recurring operational bottlenecks and collaborate with supervisors to implement workable solutions.
  • Support special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Key Deliverables
  • Smooth, on‑schedule program operations and high-quality field execution.
  • Timely completion and systematic follow‑up of all scheduled program activities.
  • Strong cross‑departmental coordination between field teams, internal departments, and external partners.
  • Well‑structured FPC and Entrepreneurship Business Plans backed by regular financial analysis.
  • Enhanced, sustainable market and vendor linkages for FPCs, SHGs, and local entrepreneurs.
  • Accurate, up‑to‑date MIS and mobile app reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Agriculture, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in Livelihoods, Social Work, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Industry Focus: Prior experience within the NGO or social development sector is highly preferred.
