Lead and drive the Group Term Life Insurance business across the assigned region, with end-to-end responsibility for business growth, revenue, profitability, client acquisition, channel development and relationship management.
The role will be responsible for building a strong regional business franchise by developing institutional relationships, expanding the corporate client base, strengthening distribution partnerships and ensuring achievement of business, productivity and profitability objectives.
Own the regional Group Term Life business P&L / business targets and deliver sustainable growth.
Drive achievement of annual and monthly targets across premium, new business, renewals and profitability.
Develop and execute the regional business strategy aligned with overall Group Insurance objectives.
Identify high-potential markets, industries, corporates and institutional segments for business expansion.
Build and manage relationships with large corporates, PSUs, institutions, financial organisations and employee-benefit ecosystems.
Lead acquisition of new Group Term Life accounts through direct corporate relationships and strategic partnerships.
Drive large-ticket opportunities from prospecting through negotiation, closure and onboarding.
Develop a strong pipeline of corporate opportunities and ensure healthy conversion ratios.
Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, consultants, financial institutions, employee-benefit advisors and other relevant distribution partners.
Develop new distribution opportunities and deepen existing partner relationships.
Work closely with internal distribution channels to generate cross-sell and referral opportunities.
Drive partner productivity through structured engagement, joint business planning and regular reviews.
Lead, coach and develop the regional Group Business team.
Set clear performance objectives and monitor individual and team productivity.
Build a high-performance culture focused on acquisition, conversion, persistency and customer relationships.
Identify capability gaps and drive structured coaching, training and development interventions.
Act as the senior relationship owner for key strategic accounts.
Build long-term relationships with HR Heads, CFOs, CHROs, Business Heads, Risk Heads and other senior corporate stakeholders.
Ensure superior customer experience and effective resolution of critical client issues.
Strengthen retention and renewal of existing corporate relationships.
Monitor regional performance through business dashboards and key productivity metrics.
Track pipeline, conversion, premium, ticket size, renewal, persistency and profitability indicators.
Conduct periodic business reviews and initiate corrective actions wherever required.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, underwriting and internal governance requirements.
Work closely with Underwriting, Operations, Claims, Product, Actuarial, Finance, Legal, Risk and Customer Service teams.
Ensure seamless execution from proposal generation to policy issuance and servicing.
Provide market intelligence and client feedback to Product and Business teams for proposition enhancement.

Education: Graduate / Post Graduate; MBA preferred.
Experience: Typically 12–18+ years of relevant experience in Life Insurance / Group Insurance / Employee Benefits / Corporate Sales / B2B Insurance, with substantial experience in regional business leadership.
Strong experience in Group Term Life / Group Insurance / Employee Benefits.
Proven track record of managing large corporate relationships and institutional business.
Experience managing a regional / zonal sales team.
Strong understanding of corporate insurance buying processes and employee-benefit ecosystems.
Experience in handling large-ticket negotiations and strategic accounts.
Strong network among corporates, brokers, consultants and institutional clients.
