We are seeking a results-driven and legally sound Recovery Officer to manage collections (61–90 DPD) and drive resolution/recovery for Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) specifically within our Secured Assets portfolio (Home Loans & Loan Against Property - LAP).
The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance of field-collection resilience, financial negotiation skills, and a thorough working knowledge of the legal frameworks governing debt recovery in India (particularly the SARFAESI Act, 2002, DRT, and Section 138). The core objective is to minimize credit losses, maximize recoveries, and execute legal remedies efficiently while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Target assigned portfolios in the 61–90 DPD (SMA-2) bucket to prevent accounts from slipping into the NPA classification.
Conduct rigorous field visits, trace untraceable borrowers, and establish direct contact with co-applicants/guarantors for secured retail/commercial properties.
Formulate customized resolution strategies for delinquent accounts, including regularizing dues, restructuring (if applicable under policy), or facilitating settlements.
Take charge of accounts categorized as NPAs (>90 days past due) to engineer resolution, reduction, or write-back strategies.
Drive One-Time Settlement (OTS) negotiations inline with company delegation of authority (DOA) matrix while optimizing recovery yields.
Identify willful defaulters and initiate aggressive recovery actions.
Drive end-to-end legal proceedings for secured assets under the SARFAESI Act, 2002 (Issuance of Demand Notices under Section 13, Possession Notices, and securing Chief Metropolitan Magistrate / District Magistrate - CMM/DM orders for physical possession).
Coordinate with empaneled advocates, legal counsels, and enforcement agencies for timely filing and execution of suits (Civil suits, Section 138 NI Act for cheque bounces, and DRT actions where applicable).
Oversee asset auction processes, valuation, and physical repossession/sale of properties in compliance with statutory guidelines.
Maintain accurate daily tracking sheets, collection efficiency metrics, and resolution pipelines.
Provide regular MIS reports to management regarding bucket movement, legal milestones recovered, and loss-forecast provisions.
Ensure adherence to fair practices code (FPC) and RBI guidelines regarding recovery agents and customer communication, avoiding any coercive or non-compliant behavior.
