Job summary

The Hoxton Bengaluru City, part of the Ennismore family, is seeking a Receiving Associate to join its evolving hospitality team. You will receive all incoming goods, verify deliveries, and help maintain accurate records in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Based in Bengaluru, you will collaborate with Purchasing, Finance and other departments to ensure timely receipt, proper labeling, and audit-ready processes while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in hospitality operations and receiving procedures.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
• Inspect items for quantity, quality and compliance with specifications; report discrepancies or damages.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance and user departments for timely receipt of goods.
• Prepare and maintain receiving records and system entries.
• Label and transfer received goods to stores or departments promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the receiving area.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock reconciliation and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

The Hoxton is opening its very first neighbourhood hotel in Asia, coming to India’s Bengaluru city centre in 2026. Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Receive all incoming goods and verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices.
• Inspect received items for quantity, quality and compliance with company specifications, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing, Finance and user departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
• Prepare and maintain receiving records, documentation and system entries in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure all received goods are appropriately labelled and transferred promptly to the respective stores or departments.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and food safety standards in the receiving area while following health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts, stock reconciliation and month-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and audit requirements throughout the receiving process.

• Previous experience as a Receiving Associate, Receiving Clerk or Store Associate in a hotel, hospitality or retail environment.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with suppliers.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
