Job summary

SG India Engineering Private Limited is seeking experienced Rebar Detailers / Senior Rebar Detailers to support structural projects in Chennai. You will prepare accurate rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules in line with US codes and project specs.

The role requires 2–7 years of rebar detailing experience for US-based projects, with proficiency in RebarCAD and AutoCAD; Tekla Structures is a plus. On-site in Chennai, full-time.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• 2–7 years of experience in rebar detailing for US projects
• Strong knowledge of US codes and standards
• Experience in preparing bar bending schedules (BBS)
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings

Responsibilities

• Prepare rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules as per US standards
• Interpret structural drawings and specifications for reinforced concrete structures
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimation for rebar
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, and internal teams
• Review and check detailing outputs for quality and constructability (Senior Rebar Detailer role)
• Modify and update drawings based on client comments and revisions
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of detailing drawings
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules as per US standards
• Interpret structural drawings and specifications for reinforced concrete structures
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimation for rebar
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards
