Job summary

Vcatapult Hr Consultancy seeks an experienced Rebar Detailing Engineer to handle US-standard detailing projects. The role involves preparing detailed rebar shop drawings, reinforcement drawings, and BBS while reading architectural and structural drawings to ensure accuracy.

You will apply ACI/CRSI standards, perform self-checks, coordinate with engineers, and support quantity take-off and estimation as needed. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Rebar Detailing and Reinforcement Drawings.
• Experience handling US-standard / US-based projects.
• Knowledge of ACI and CRSI standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of BBS and rebar quantity take-off.
• Ability to interpret structural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of reinforcement bar sizes, shapes, bends, laps, and detailing practices.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed rebar shop drawings, reinforcement drawings, and BBS.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, architectural drawings, and project specifications.
• Prepare accurate reinforcement layouts, bar schedules, sections, elevations, and details.
• Handle US-standard rebar detailing projects as per applicable project requirements.
• Work according to ACI, CRSI, and relevant US detailing standards.
• Check bar sizes, spacing, laps, bends, hooks, development lengths, and reinforcement quantities.
• Coordinate with engineers, checkers, and project teams to resolve detailing issues.
• Incorporate engineering comments and revise drawings accordingly.
• Ensure drawings meet required quality, accuracy, and project standards.
• Prepare drawings within project schedules and maintain proper documentation.
• Perform self-checking of drawings before submission.
• Support quantity take-off and rebar estimation activities when required.
