Next Step HR seeks a Project Manager in Mumbai to own projects from planning through execution, coordinating architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams to meet timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in project management within real estate, construction, interiors, architecture, design & build, or allied industries
• Strong understanding of project planning, execution, budgeting, vendor management, and site coordination
• Ability to independently coordinate multiple stakeholders and workstreams
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of construction/project documentation and execution processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project / project management tools, and related documentation
• Exposure to green building, sustainable construction, ESG-led development, energy-efficient design, or environmentally conscious projects preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from planning and pre-construction through execution and completion
• Develop and track project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and execution plans
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, designers, and internal teams
• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines
• Manage project budgets, costs, procurement, and resource allocation
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor execution against approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Identify project risks, delays, dependencies, and execution challenges and proactively resolve them
• Review project documentation, drawings, BOQs, schedules, and related technical deliverables
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure smooth execution and timely completion
• Ensure adherence to applicable quality, safety, regulatory, and sustainability requirements
• Work closely with stakeholders to maintain project quality while balancing cost and timelines
• Prepare regular project status reports and provide updates to senior management
• Drive coordination between multiple teams and ensure clear accountability across project workstreams
• Contribute to implementing environmentally responsible and sustainable practices throughout project execution

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from planning through execution, ensuring that timelines, budgets, quality standards, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders are effectively coordinated.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing real estate, construction, interior, architectural, or design-and-build projects and be comfortable working across multiple stakeholders to drive projects to completion.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to execution and can independently manage projects while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainable development practices.
