About the Role

TechnoMile is seeking a React Technical Lead to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll lead the design, development, and evolution of high-performance web applications that elevate our digital experience. You'll provide technical leadership across front-end initiatives, mentor developers, establish engineering best practices, and partner closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that drive customer engagement and support our mission of technological excellence.

This role is open to candidates located in Pune, India and is a hybrid role reporting to our Pune office, typically 2‑3 days onsite.

About the Team

Our Engineering team builds and evolves the front‑end experience across TechnoMile's product suite. Together, we are responsible for translating business and product requirements into well‑architected, scalable front‑end solutions, partnering closely with Product, UX/UI, and backend engineering throughout delivery.

What You'll Work On

• Lead the front‑end architecture, design, and development of robust, scalable, and responsive web applications using React.js.

• Define and enforce front‑end engineering standards, reusable patterns, and component architecture.

• Drive technical decision‑making around frameworks, libraries, performance, maintainability, and scalability.

• Build and oversee the development of modern, intuitive user interfaces using React.js, converting design mockups and wireframes into efficient, reusable, and maintainable components.

• Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and QA to deliver high‑quality features and enhancements.

• Lead front‑end planning and execution within agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Mentor and support front‑end developers through code reviews, technical coaching, and best‑practice guidance.

• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability, including onboarding new developers.

• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, responsiveness, and cross‑browser compatibility, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and UI reliability issues.

• Champion code quality through peer reviews, testing strategies, and adherence to development standards.

• Stay current with emerging trends in the React and front‑end ecosystem, and recommend improvements to development workflows, tooling, and front‑end practices.

• Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, drive innovation, and deliver high‑quality work across your area of expertise.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 6+ years of front‑end development experience, including strong hands‑on expertise in React.js, with proven experience leading front‑end projects or mentoring developers in a senior or lead capacity.

• Technical depth: Strong proficiency in React.js and state management libraries such as Redux or Context API, strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Integration & tooling: Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing asynchronous data flows, familiarity with front‑end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM, and proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.

• Collaboration: Strong problem‑solving skills, communication skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• AI fluency: Hands‑on experience using generative AI and automation tools to boost productivity, and sound judgment on when to lean on AI versus human insight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript for improved code quality and maintainability.

• Knowledge of UI frameworks such as Material‑UI or Ant Design.

• Experience with server‑side rendering frameworks such as Next.js and progressive web applications (PWAs).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Experience designing scalable component libraries or design systems.

• Exposure to cloud‑based SaaS platforms and enterprise‑grade application development.
