Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks an Engineer – Planning – Site (Procurement) to align procurement with construction timelines and ensure timely material delivery. You will coordinate with project execution, stores, and vendors to minimize delays and support cost/time control.

The role includes developing MRPs, tracking PR/POs, managing lead times, and ensuring proper procurement documentation. You will liaise with central procurement, stores, and suppliers to keep shipments on schedule.

Qualifications

• The Engineer – Planning – Site (Procurement) coordinates timely procurement and delivery of materials by aligning construction schedule with procurement lead times.
• Procurement activities are planned, tracked, and monitored in coordination with project execution, stores, and vendor teams.
• Role minimizes delays due to material unavailability and supports project cost and time control.
• Develop the material requirement plan (MRP) in alignment with lookahead plans and raise PRs accordingly.
• Maintain and track the procurement schedule (procurement register) including PR/PO generation, delivery lead times, dispatch status, and delivery dates.
• Interface with central procurement, site stores, and vendors to monitor material dispatches and escalation delays.
• Follow up on procurement documentation such as PO copies, delivery challans, material test certificates, inspection reports, and gate entries.

This role ensures that procurement activities are planned, tracked, and monitored in close coordination with project execution, stores, and vendor teams. It plays a critical role in minimizing delays due to material unavailability and supports project cost and time control.Assist in developing the material requirement plan (MRP) in alignment with the 3-week/1-month lookahead plan and ensure procurement requests (PRs) are raised accordingly.Maintain and track the procurement schedule (procurement register), including PR/PO generation, delivery lead times, dispatch status, and actual delivery dates.
