We are looking for a qualified and responsible Radiologist (MD Radiodiagnosis) to join our diagnostic centre. The candidate will be responsible for independently performing and interpreting ultrasound/sonography examinations, including obstetric and pregnancy scans, along with other routine ultrasound studies as per the centre's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ultrasound & Sonography
- Perform and interpret routine ultrasound/sonography examinations.
- Conduct abdominal, pelvic, renal, hepatobiliary, thyroid, breast, small-parts and other relevant ultrasound examinations within the candidate's scope of practice.
- Ensure appropriate patient positioning, scanning technique and image acquisition.
- Review images carefully and identify clinically significant findings.
- Prepare accurate, clear and clinically relevant ultrasound reports.
- Correlate imaging findings with the patient's clinical history and available laboratory/medical information wherever appropriate.
2. Obstetric & Pregnancy Scans
- Perform pregnancy-related ultrasound examinations, including routine obstetric scans.
- Conduct appropriate assessment of fetal growth, fetal viability, gestational age, fetal position, placenta, amniotic fluid and other relevant parameters according to the stage of pregnancy.
- Perform first-trimester and subsequent pregnancy scans as per clinical requirements and applicable protocols.
- Perform NT scans, anomaly scans and fetal growth/well-being assessments, wherever qualified and appropriately trained.
- Identify abnormalities or findings requiring further evaluation and communicate clinically significant findings appropriately.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and sensitivity while dealing with expectant mothers.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Generate timely, accurate and comprehensive diagnostic reports.
- Maintain proper documentation of examinations and findings.
- Ensure reports are appropriately correlated with clinical indications.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Communicate urgent or significant findings to the referring physician/appropriate clinical team when required.
4. Patient Care
- Explain the examination procedure to patients in a clear and professional manner.
- Maintain patient comfort, privacy and dignity during examinations.
- Handle patients, particularly pregnant women, with patience and appropriate sensitivity.
- Address basic patient queries related to the imaging procedure while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
5. Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Follow established radiology and diagnostic-centre protocols.
- Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy and professional ethics.
- Follow applicable guidelines and legal/regulatory requirements governing ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic services.
- Ensure all pregnancy-related ultrasound procedures and records comply with applicable PCPNDT requirements and documentation protocols.
- Maintain appropriate records, forms and documentation as required by law and the diagnostic centre.
- Participate in internal quality-control and audit processes when required.
Required Qualification
- MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate medical authority.
- Appropriate eligibility/registration and compliance with applicable requirements for performing ultrasound and obstetric imaging.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to perform and report ultrasound examinations, including pregnancy scans, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Experience
Preferred:
- Prior experience working as a Radiologist in a diagnostic centre, hospital or imaging facility.
- Experience in performing and reporting obstetric and pregnancy scans will be strongly preferred.
- Fresh MD/DNB Radiologists with appropriate training and demonstrated competency may also be considered.
Working Conditions
- The Radiologist will be required to perform ultrasound examinations and prepare diagnostic reports according to the centre's schedule and patient workload.
- The role may involve coordination with radiology technicians, reception staff, referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- The candidate is expected to maintain punctuality, professional conduct and timely reporting.
