Job summary

Groupe Michelin in Pune is seeking a skilled Accounting Cycle Analyst to support the manager with group and local accounting activities. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and timely information for financial statements.

You will handle general ledger integrity, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations in a hybrid setup, with alignment to Europe/Asia/Americas time zones. CA Inter/M.Com/B.Com/MBA qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in reconciliation and justification of accounts before auditors and controllers.
• Ability to ensure compliance with group referentials and local legislation.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and financial close requirements.
• Proficiency in fixed assets accounting and intercompany eliminations.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and accruals & provisions.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and justify accounts before reviewers, auditors, and controllers, resolving open items.
• Support the accounting cycle activities and ensure timely financial statements.
• Manage general ledger entries, validations, and compliance with norms.
• Handle fixed assets capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Record intercompany transactions and support consolidation across entities.

Account Reconciliation & Justification: Reconcile and justify accounts before reviewers, internal and external auditors, and internal controllers, resolving open items and ensuring balances are accurate and well supported

Mission: Support the Accounting Manager and Accounting Cycle Analyst with Group and local norms accounting activities, handling the entry, verification, control, quality, and consistency of accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with Group referentials and local legislation, and timely availability of information for the preparation of financial statements

General Ledger & Compliance: Ensure GL entries and transactions comply with Group and local norms, function allocation rules, and standard processes, maintaining the quality and consistency of accounts within your remit.

Financial Close & Reporting: Perform closing transactions, programs, and reporting in line with closing deadlines and expected quality, supporting timely month-end and year-end close and financial statements

Fixed Assets Accounting: Handle capitalization, depreciation, and disposal entries for fixed assets, ensuring accurate asset records in line with Group accounting policies and local requirements

Intercompany Accounting: Record and reconcile intercompany sales, transfers, and eliminations, and resolve differences with counterparties to support accurate and timely consolidation across entities.

Cash & Bank Reconciliation: Account for cash and bank transactions, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, resolving outstanding reconciling items within closing deadlines.
