Job summary

Groupe Michelin in Pune, India/hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) seeks a Finance professional to support accounting close, balance sheet integrity and intercompany reconciliation. You will work with Group standards and local laws to ensure timely financial statements and robust internal controls.

Ideal candidates have CA Inter/M.Com/B.Com/MBA qualifications with strong MS Office and ERP skills, and experience in general ledger, fixed assets and month/year-end closes.

Qualifications

• Record-to-Report, GL accounting and month-end/year-end close expertise.
• Strong financial reporting, reconciliation and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office suite.
• Stakeholder management and cross-entity coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GL entries comply with group/local norms, function allocation rules, and standard processes.
• Reconcile and justify accounts; resolve items with auditors and internal controllers.
• Perform closing transactions and reporting for month-end and year-end close.
• Handle capitalization, depreciation, and disposal entries for fixed assets.
• Record and reconcile intercompany sales, transfers, and eliminations.
• Account for cash and bank transactions; complete daily, weekly, monthly bank reconciliations.

Job description

Mission: Support the Accounting Manager and Accounting Cycle Analyst with Group and local norms accounting activities, handling the entry, verification, control, quality, and consistency of accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with Group referentials and local legislation, and timely availability of information for the preparation of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities: General Ledger & Compliance: Ensure GL entries and transactions comply with Group and local norms, function allocation rules, and standard processes, maintaining the quality and consistency of accounts within your remit.

Account Reconciliation & Justification: Reconcile and justify accounts before reviewers, internal and external auditors, and internal controllers, resolving open items and ensuring balances are accurate and well supported.

Financial Close & Reporting: Perform closing transactions, programs, and reporting in line with closing deadlines and expected quality, supporting timely month-end and year-end close and financial statements.

Fixed Assets Accounting: Handle capitalization, depreciation, and disposal entries for fixed assets, ensuring accurate asset records in line with Group accounting policies and local requirements.

Intercompany Accounting: Record and reconcile intercompany sales, transfers, and eliminations, and resolve differences with counterparties to support accurate and timely consolidation across entities.

Cash & Bank Reconciliation: Account for cash and bank transactions, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, resolving outstanding reconciling items within closing deadlines
