Job summary

BMC Helix is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to join our PMO. You will drive innovation by meticulously managing R&D initiatives, coordinating with software developers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of groundbreaking solutions.

You will lead projects from initiation to closure, manage schedules and budgets, and collaborate with enterprise customers to meet their needs while aligning with agile practices and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in R&D project management, including leading complex software projects.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP) or similar.
• Experience in dynamic, fast-paced enterprise software companies with SDLC understanding.
• Experience working with B2B enterprise customers.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Rally, or Jira for Agile development, and SharePoint.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management with strong communication.

Responsibilities

Helix is looking for a talented and passionate experienced R&D Project Manager to join our PMO team!

In this role, you will drive innovation through meticulous project management within our (R&D) initiatives. You will orchestrate the development and implementation of cutting‑edge R&D projects, collaborating closely with software developers and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of groundbreaking innovations.

• Manage project schedules and budgets, allocating resources effectively to support the needs of software development and R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with enterprise customers to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring that R&D projects deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and activities, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing among developers, QA engineers, marketing teams, and other internal stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze project metrics data, providing updates, insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Follow agile methodologies and implement best practices.
• Drive organizational innovation and change where necessary to optimize project execution and enhance the pace of discovery and experimentation.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 6+ years of experience in R&D project management, including leading complex software projects from initiation to completion.
• Relevant certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP) or similar.
• Experience working in a dynamic and fast‑paced enterprise software companies, with a deep understanding of software development lifecycle.
• Experience working with B2B enterprise customers.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Rally, or Jira for Agile development, and collaborative platforms such as SharePoint.
• Experience in managing cross‑functional teams and resources across different geographies and time zones.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset and a focus on delivering tangible business results.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Experience in managing IT project in Cloud environments (AWS, GCP or similar)
• Technical background as a software developer, QA engineer or similar.
• Background in sales / presales / customers success or similar
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
