Job summary

Responsibilities include equipment upkeep, notebook maintenance, and collaboration with regulatory, quality, supply, and marketing teams to meet project goals. A chemical engineering background with strong communication skills is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Master's in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Utilize formulation development skills and technical expertise to develop new products, technologies, and benefits to address relevant consumer needs in support of brand initiatives.
• Read, understand, and apply relevant SOP / ISO protocols with regards to data generation for submission to Global/Local Regulatory/Legal teams and external agencies.
• Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment.
• Recording and maintaining laboratory notebooks following GDP
• Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench, understanding of chemistry, surfactant, or related science.
• Ability to interpret results from lab tests, conduct performance and analysis evaluations of competitive products.
• Maintain inventory and order items when needed.
• Interface with key partners and stakeholders (supply, regulatory, quality and marketing) to achieve defined goals and objectives.
• Be aware, accountable for environment, health and safety in workplace all time to ensure accident free & good working environment. Maintain good housekeeping in lab and storage areas all the time.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

• A minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or masters in sciences (Chemistry or Pharmaceutical)
• Good Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in team including cross functional interactions with project teams involving members from Marketing, Supply, Quality, Manufacturing etc.
• Strong formulation expertise and understanding of raw material chemical interactions.
• Good oral communication skills to effectively provide feedback to project teams or immediate supervisor.
• Good written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise lab reports
• Organizational and Problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement.
• Result-oriented and self-motivating, seeking information from others to accomplish objectives.
