Job summary

HM Clause Bengaluru invites applications for an agronomy support role at the station. You will assist the Station manager and Agronomy Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of activities from land preparation to disinfection, and monitoring safety for temporary workers.

The role requires practical crop cultivation knowledge, familiarity with farm equipment, and clear communication in the local language with basic English writing skills; computer basics are a plus, and

Qualifications

• Should have practical knowledge of crop cultivation, machineries and farm equipment.
• Effective communication in the local language with English writing capability.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Station manager in managing the Agronomy at the station and ensure smooth operations.
• Take stock of resources (men & material) and allocate as per team needs.
• Ensure on-time execution from land preparation to material disinfection as planned.
• Monitor and guide temporary workers regarding SHEILD & SAFETY sustenance.
• Collect data on workers' activities and track in available templates.
• Supervise temporary workers and enforce PPE, access control and SHIELD guidelines.

Role & responsibilities

• To assist the Station manager/ Agronomy Manager/ Crop Technician in managing the Agronomy at the station and in the smooth running of the entire assigned operations activities
• To take stock of the resources (men & material) and allocate the resources as per the need of the breeding team/research team/Ops team
• On-time execution of all the assigned activities from Land preparation to Material disinfection as planned by concerned manager.
• To monitor & guide the temporary workers w.r.t SHEILD & SAFETY sustenance.
• To collect proper data regularly workers activities) and tracking in the available templates
• Supervise the temporary workers and to see that they are wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, follow the access control rules and all the SHIELD guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have practical knowledge of the cultivation of crop, machineries, farm equipment and knowledge of chemical risk.
• Should be an effective communicator (both verbal & non- verbal communication) in the local language and knowledge of English (for writing)
• Possess a basic knowledge of computer applications.
