Job summary

Gharda Chemicals (GCL) invites applications for a senior R&D role focused on rolling out the R&D agenda and delivering results in a defined time frame. You will guide route scouting, IP generation, and tech transfer to designated manufacturing sites, with responsibility for agrochemicals and specialty chemical process development from basic materials.

You will supervise multiple labs, drive optimized R&D efforts, and collaborate with SCM, design, process engineering, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience in labs with software-driven workflows.
• Working knowledge of IPR in process R&D.
• Strong hands-on expertise in organic chemistry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D activities to convert knowledge into business value.
• Coordinate route scouting and IP generation for tech transfer.
• Oversee agrochemicals & specialty chemicals process development.

Job description

Key Purpose

To roll out R & D agenda as envisaged by VP R & D in accordance with organizational objectives such that the desired result is achieved in agreed time frame

Role & responsibilities

• To make R & D department a repository of knowledge that can be converted to business.
• Route scouting, IP generation to tech transfer to designated manufacturing sites.
• Responsibility for agrochemicals & specialty chemicals process development from the basic raw material.
• Supervise multiple team to drive R & D efforts in most optimized manner
• Introduce best in class support to design team for faster roll out of modifications to existing product lines and new molecules
• Work with cross functional teams viz. SCM team, design team, process engineering, quality and regulatory teams for agrochemicals and specialty chemicals.
• Self-development in technology areas to remain updated with most relevant technology for GCL.
• Develop team members to build talent pipeline for future R & D

Team size: minimum 3 labs running in shifts

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in working in modern labs with software driven work culture
• Route scanning experience in process R & D with working knowledge of IPR
• Must have knowledge and understanding of organic chemistry including expert hands-on experience.
• Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, highly matrixed work environment
