Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in refrigeration, cooling systems, heat exchangers, thermal systems, HVAC&R, or related engineering.
• Hands-on experience in testing, validation, prototyping, or product development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop milk cooling systems, thermal storage systems, refrigeration systems, and related components.
• Perform thermal calculations and engineering analysis for system sizing, optimization, and performance improvement.
• Develop new concepts, technologies, and engineering solutions for milk cooling and chilling applications.
• Design, build, and evaluate prototypes and conduct factory and field testing of new and existing products.
• Prepare test plans, test procedures, validation protocols, and technical reports.
• Analyze test data and recommend design modifications to improve cooling performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and product life.
• Support product improvement and continuous improvement initiatives based on test results, customer feedback, and field performance.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Service, Installation, and Sales teams for product validation, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Take progressive ownership of assigned R&D projects and independently manage testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.

Role Summary

We are looking for an R&D Engineer to join our Research & Development team and contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of milk cooling and refrigeration systems, including Milko Chill, thermal storage-based Bulk Milk Coolers, and related cooling components. The role will focus on improving product performance, energy efficiency, reliability, and field applicability through engineering design, thermal analysis, prototype testing, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous innovation. The position will also involve close coordination with Production, Quality, Service, Installation, and Sales teams to ensure successful product development and deployment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in refrigeration, cooling systems, heat transfer, heat exchangers, or thermal systems, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop milk cooling systems, thermal storage systems, refrigeration systems, and related components.
• Perform thermal calculations and engineering analysis for system sizing, optimization, and performance improvement.

• Provide technical support to Sales, Service, and Installation teams for site selection, product suitability, installation requirements, and product demonstrations.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, datasheets, and engineering documentation.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, product specifications, test reports, design records, and validation documents.
• Support evaluation and integration of electrical and control systems, including inverters, batteries, control panels, sensors, and related components.
• Work on multiple R&D projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution of assigned activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design validation and successful product commercialization.
• Participate in field visits, product trials, customer/site evaluations, and commissioning support whenever required.
• Maintain structured documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing R&D projects and field-testing activities.
• Take progressive ownership of assigned R&D projects and independently manage testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2years of relevant experience in refrigeration, cooling systems, heat exchangers, thermal systems, HVAC&R, or related engineering applications.
• Hands-onexperience in testing, validation, prototyping, or product development will be preferred.
