Job summary

Hill International, Inc. in Delhi seeks a Civil Quantity Surveyor to perform quantity take-offs for residential, commercial, hotel, hospital, fit-out and industry projects. The role uses IS 1200, POMI or similar standards with Cost-X/AutoCAD to prepare BOQs and cost plans, plus bulk checks.

You will support cost estimation, tendering, interim payments, cost control, and final accounts, while applying strong Excel/Word skills and software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience with quantity take-offs and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of IS 1200 and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure and Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or similar standards.
• Use Cost-X and AutoCAD to quantify, summarize quantities and prepare BOQs or cost plans with bulk checks.
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities and assist cost estimation activities.
• Identify basic material and labour rates and understand rate analysis for standard items.
• Assist with tendering documentation and process understanding.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations and maintain cost control documentation.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and valuation of variations.
• Maintain knowledge of building components and construction methods in Civil works.
• Proficient with CAD, Cost-X and other quantification software; strong MS Excel/Word skills.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Civil, Structure, Architectural works using IS 1200, POMI or other similar standards.


• Use software tools (e.g., Cost X, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off and summarize quantities, transferdata into BOQs or cost plans including carrying out bulk checks.


• Draft or Validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks.


• Support cost estimation activities by identifying basic material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis for standard work items.


• Having basic understanding on tendering process and documentation.


• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes.


• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.


• Having basic knowledge of key building components and construction methods in construction related to Civil works.


• Should be good in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.


• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
