Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a seasoned Billing cum Contract Engineer to manage cost estimates, budgets, BOQ preparation and tender documents for major infrastructure projects. A Diploma in Civil Engineering or Surveying with at least 12 years of experience (5 in billing/contract work) is required; you will evaluate quotations and monitor project costs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects


• Measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements


• Prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents


• Evaluate and compare contractor and supplier quotations


• Manage and monitor project costs to keep within budget


• Assess and certify interim and final payments to contractors


• Value completed works and arrange payments


• Prepare cost reports and financial statements for stakeholders


• Assist in contract administration and management


• Identify, evaluate, and resolve variations and changes in project scope


• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning


• Advise on procurement strategies and contract types


• Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations


• Support the settlement of claims and disputes


• Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence

Profile/Skills
