Job summary

Latinem Private Limited in India is seeking JR/MID/SR Quantity Surveyors with 1–10 years of experience to prepare estimates, BOQs, and conduct cost assessments from concept designs and BIM models. The role involves tender analysis, value engineering, and verification of subcontractor variation claims for projects including high-rise developments.

Experience with precontract, tender, and post-contract QS activities is preferred, including international or offshore project exposure.

• Prepare estimates based on concept designs and BOQs for pre-launch estimates.
• Take-offs from drawings and rate analysis for cost estimation.
• Study tender drawings, project specs, and BIM models for quantity extraction and cost assessment.
• Compare contractor-submitted BOQs against launch budgets and design intent; identify variations and exclusions.
• Evaluate value engineering proposals across Structural, MEP, Façade, and consultant inputs for cost savings.
• Verify and approve subcontractor variation claims.

Job Description:

• Preparation of estimates based on concept designs and preparation of BOQs for pre-launch estimates, including quantity take-offs from drawings and rate analysis.
• Study of tender drawings, project specifications, and BIM models for quantity extraction and cost assessment of major activities.
• Comparison of contractor-submitted detailed contract BOQs against launch budgets and original design intent, identifying variations, deviations, and exclusions for contract BOQ finalization.
• Identification and evaluation of value engineering proposals from various disciplines (Structural, MEP, Façade, Peer Review Consultant), including assessment of associated cost savings.
• Verification, checking, and approval of subcontractor variation claims.
• Preference Requirement.
• Candidates having experience in tender/precontract/post contract quantity take-off and Budgeting/Estimation. (Post contract billing engineer can be considered as well).
• Candidates having estimation experience for project outside India. QS activities for projects aboard.
• Candidates having high-rise building experience like 20+ floors.
