Job summary

Egis Road Operation India is seeking an experienced professional for Quantity Surveying/Cost Management on urban infrastructure and master planning projects in India. The role emphasizes accurate estimation, cost control and active cost management across project lifecycles.

The candidate should have 10–12 years of experience in civil engineering projects, with strong Excel skills and the ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and government agencies.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
• Experience in estimation, BOQ, billing, rate analysis, quantity measurement and cost control.
• Experience in large building/infrastructure projects, preferably government/railway/metro/institutional projects.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and measurement procedures.
• Strong MS Excel, analytical, coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity estimates, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and rate analysis for urban planning, master planning, township development and related projects.
• Conduct quantity assessment and cost estimation for roads, utilities, water, sewerage, storm water, landscaping and transit infra.
• Review master plans, layout plans and DPRs to identify quantity variations, scope changes and cost implications.
• Develop and maintain project cost plans, cost databases and budget estimates.
• Evaluate variation orders, additional scope items and design modifications and prepare cost impact assessments.
• Support preparation of DPRs, feasibility studies and investment plans for urban infrastructure and master planning.
• Coordinate with urban planners, engineers, architects, PM teams, clients and government agencies on quantity estimation and budgeting.
• Prepare project cost reports, quantity summaries, MIS reports and commercial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity estimates, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and rate analysis for Urban Planning, Master Planning, Township Development, Smart City, Area Development, and Urban Infrastructure projects.
• Conduct quantity assessment and cost estimation for roads, utilities, water supply, sewerage, storm water drainage, landscaping, public spaces, transit infrastructure, and other urban development components.
• Review master plans, layout plans, DPRs, engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify quantity variations, scope changes, and cost implications.
• Develop and maintain project cost plans, cost databases, and budget estimates for urban development and infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate variation orders, additional scope items, and design modifications, and prepare detailed cost impact assessments and rate analyses.
• Support preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), feasibility studies, investment plans, and financial estimates for urban infrastructure and master planning assignments.
• Coordinate with urban planners, infrastructure engineers, architects, project management teams, clients, and government agencies on quantity estimation, budgeting, and cost management matters.
• Prepare project cost reports, quantity summaries, MIS reports, and commercial documentation to support project monitoring and decision‑making.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, resource efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure development while maintaining project quality and design objectives.
