Job summary

Dockside Constructions in Chennai is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor (QS Engineer) to join our construction team. The role requires hands-on site measurements, BOQ management, RA Bills, and subcontractor billing responsibilities.

You will verify quantities, monitor progress, and coordinate with project heads, site engineers and subcontractors. 2–5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying is preferred; Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying / Billing / Construction Projects will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and verify site measurements as per approved drawings & specifications.
• Prepare, maintain and verify Measurement Books (MB).
• Verify executed quantities against approved BOQ.
• Prepare and verify RA Bills.
• Verify subcontractor bills and claimed quantities.
• Monitor BOQ quantities and project progress.
• Carry out quantity reconciliation between BOQ, executed and billed quantities.
• Identify quantity deviations, discrepancies and overruns.
• Prepare Variation Orders (VO) and Extra Item Statements.
• Support Cost-to-Complete (CTC) analysis and project cost monitoring.
• Coordinate with Project Heads, Site Engineers, QC Engineers, clients/PMC and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and verify site measurements as per approved drawings & specifications
• Prepare, maintain and verify Measurement Books (MB)
