Job summary

CAP project X is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage estimation, BOQ preparation, cost planning and take-offs for commercial interior fit-out projects across retail, hospitality and corporate sectors.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in quantity surveying and a Civil Engineering or QS degree, with strong MS Excel skills and the ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to support tendering and cost control.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or QS.
• 1–3 years in quantity surveying, preferably in interiors/construction.
• Strong ability to read drawings and perform BOQ/cost estimation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates based on drawings and project specifications.
• Analyse drawings and identify material, labour, and execution requirements.
• Prepare cost comparisons, rate analysis, and project budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, project teams, vendors, and contractors for pricing and quantities.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with tender documentation, billing, and contractor payment certifications.
• Track variations, additional works, and changes in project scope.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, BOQs, and project cost reports.

About the Role
